Biography
Bertram Müller graduated in 1971 in theology, philosophy, social ethics in Berlin / Heidelberg and 1978 in Bonn as a qualified psychologist, training in Gestalt therapy, depth psychology (PP), trauma therapy, supervision.
He is the founding chairman (1978) of “Die Werkstatt für Tanz, Theater und Gestaltung eV” and was director of tanzhaus nrw eV Düsseldorf from 1998 to 2013.
Founding member of the European Institute of the Arts, Dance Section. (ELIA). Director of the World Dance Alliance, Europe Section (WDA); Europe Rhenish Dance and Theater School (RTT); Co-founder of the European Dance Development Center (EDDC) Arnheim / Düsseldorf. Co-founder and 1st President (2009-13) of the European Dancehouse Network (EDN), the National Performance Network (NPN), Dance Artist Service, (iDAS), Take-off-Junge -Tanz and head of international exchange projects including “Chin -A-moves “,” Kore-A-moves “, Dance Dialogue Africa, (DDA).
Consultant / jury member for the German Conference of Ministers of Education / German Association of Cities within the framework of the EU program “Kaleidoscope” as an expert, as well as at the European Commission, Unit A3, “Arts Education and Training Initiative”. (1993-96) Consultant for the State Representation of North Rhine-Westphalia in Berlin and “Create NRW”; Swiss Dance Award; in the theater advisory board of the city of Düsseldorf. Advisory Board Düsseldorf Festival; Member of the board of the Landesbüro Tanz nrw and the international dance fair.
Awards including: 1991 with the “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres” France
and in 2014 with the “German Dance Prize”.
Since November 2008 Bertram Müller has been a board member of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
Freelance since 2014: consultant, supervisor, lecturer at universities in Germany and abroad.
